Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Vterior collects when you use vterior.com, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically unfalsifiable.
Information you give us
When you contact us, book a consultation, or subscribe to updates, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your space or your chart. Bookings are handled by Cal.com, which receives the details you enter into its form.
Our free tools do not send us your birth details
The Vastu Direction Checker, Birth Chart Generator and Lucky Colour Finder run entirely in your browser. The astronomical calculations, the place lookup and the results all happen on your own device. Your date, time and place of birth are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we never see them. Closing the tab discards them.
Analytics and session recording
With your consent, we use two services to understand how the site is used:
- Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, how you arrived, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser, and which links and buttons you click.
- Microsoft Clarity — this one records your session. It captures mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps, and produces a replay of your visit along with aggregate heatmaps. Text you type into form fields is masked by Clarity and is not recorded.
Both are loaded through Google Tag Manager and neither one loads at all until you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set, no session is recorded, and the scripts are never fetched.
The chat assistant
The chat bubble is powered by Google's Gemini API. Messages you send in it are transmitted to Google to generate a reply. Do not enter anything in the chat you would not want sent to a third party. It is an AI and can be wrong; for anything that matters, book a consultation with Deepa. We record how often the chat is opened and how many messages are sent in a conversation — never the content of those messages.
Cookies
Three kinds:
- Your consent choice — a first-party cookie named
vterior_consent, kept for 180 days, recording whether you accepted or declined. It is set regardless of which you chose, because we have to remember the answer in order to stop asking. - Analytics — set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, only after you accept.
- Advertising — none. We run no ad platform and no advertising cookies are set.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to change your choice at any time. Declining after having accepted stops further collection; to have data already collected deleted, email us and we will make the request to the relevant provider.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
Retention
Client and project records are kept for the duration of our working relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards, for follow-up and for legal and tax compliance. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and under the GDPR if you are in the UK or EU — you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to contact@vterior.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes
If we widen what we collect, the consent notice is versioned and you will be asked again rather than having the old answer carried over. The date at the top of this page is updated whenever the policy changes.
